For roles within our existing network, we can typically present a shortlist within 72 hours and have an engineer starting within 1–2 weeks. For niche specialisations we haven't recently placed, allow 2–3 weeks. For permanent hiring, the process is typically 4–6 weeks from brief to start date.
Every engineer in our network has gone through a structured vetting process — technical assessment relevant to their domain, a screening interview with a Sminetech senior engineer, reference checks, and in many cases direct observation of their work on Sminetech-delivered projects. We don't add engineers to our network based on CVs alone.
We have a replacement guarantee — if an engineer placed by Sminetech isn't working out within the first 4 weeks for reasons attributable to our vetting process, we'll source a replacement at no additional cost. We work closely with clients during the first 4 weeks to catch and resolve any fit issues early.
Yes — for offshore engagements, Sminetech is the employer of record. We handle all HR, payroll, statutory compliance, and performance management. You get the engineering output; we own the people management overhead.
Yes. Many of our client relationships evolve this way. If you want to bring an engineer into your permanent team, we have a conversion arrangement — typically a success fee based on the engineer's annual compensation. We're transparent about this from the start of every engagement.
